Jal Jeevan Mission

About the Mission

The Jal Jeevan Mission (JJM) is a flagship initiative of the Government of India, launched in 2019 under the Ministry of Jal Shakti. The mission envisions “Har Ghar Jal” – ensuring that every rural household in India has access to safe and adequate drinking water through individual household tap connections.

In Uttar Pradesh, the mission is being implemented by the Namami Gange and Rural Water Supply Department, Government of Uttar Pradesh, with the goal of providing Functional Household Tap Connections (FHTCs) to every rural family across the state.

Our NGO’s Role in JJM–Uttar Pradesh
